So getting involved here on campus at Nevada State is actually pretty easy. If there's a club that you are interested in, we usually have it and if we don't have it, you can create your own. So I was the first ever teacher observing student body president at Nevada State, which was really awesome. So our student government is called the Nevada State Student Alliance. A lot of that is lobbying on behalf of students, going to the legislative sessions, getting new buildings, talking about student fees. So everything that's important to you as a student, is what we discuss and make sure we're your voice.
Campus Recreation is essentially four pieces. It is our fitness center, which is our gym, we have Outdoor Adventure Series, which we launched a couple years ago. You have sports and eSports, eSports, we just launched this semester, and that is a really unique way for students to engage in our community through discord. We've had sports and we partnered with City Penderson and they get to play things from flag football, basketball, and so forth. Fitness center, just our standard gym we have open, Monday through Friday, and then lastly, Outdoor Adventure Series is probably our premier program that we have and we take students out to go camping, hiking, kayaking, and all these really neat opportunities for students to explore the outdoors.
