So one of the great things about Nevada State is the wide range of majors and minors that you can select, whether you're interested in Psychology, or Criminal Justice, or English, or History, or Visual Media, Nursing, Teaching. There's such a large array of choices for you as a student.
So Nevada State is really great in terms of innovation and experiential learning. We're a young school, we tend to have younger faculty were very enthusiastic about bringing current learning techniques to the classroom. And some of those things include experiential learning, hands on research, actually, studying hypothesis based questions in the classroom. So we often have students come back year after year and join in different research labs with faculty to gain different experiences. We also have internships and collaborations throughout the valley, where students can go and work with the Water District or Clark County Wetlands Park, for example.
I get to meet students that have come back and are now teaching here in Nevada or working as nurses here in Nevada. There's also a large number of students that have decided to go on to graduate programs. They study law, they study library science and museum science. So one of my great pleasures as a faculty member is to see them come back and hear about their adventures. I'm always really very proud to see how well we've prepared them for such a wide range of opportunities.
