Schools

Here at Nevada State, we actually are organized around three different schools, academically. There's the School of Liberal Arts and Sciences, the School of Nursing and the School of Education. School of Education students at Nevada State College are really blessed. They're going to be walking into a new building with some special places, including an early childhood center, and a speech language pathology clinic.

In the Liberal Arts and Sciences, we have departments and programs in the Humanities, in Physical and Life sciences, in Business and in Social Sciences. There's so many essential skills that you gain from a background in Liberal Arts and Sciences. It's that critical thinking, it's learning how to communicate that. How do you, how you write? Those are all key ingredients to a successful career later.

The School of Nursing offers a Bachelor of Science degree, which can be obtained through three different tracks tailored to fit the needs of diverse students. We have many of our graduates who pursue masters and doctoral degrees. We have students who become nurse practitioners, nurse anesthetists, who become clinical nurse specialists, nurse leaders, and having a broad educational foundation allows them to do that.
